📄 Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and GlideNav LLC ("we", "us") covering your use of GlideNav. By using GlideNav you agree to them — including, in particular, the acknowledgements below about safety and your responsibility for your own driving. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What GlideNav is — and is not

GlideNav is a route optimizer, not a navigation app. It takes the route alternatives Google Maps already offers, re-ranks them by driving friction as well as speed, and hands it back to you to drive: a link to follow in Google Maps or Apple Maps, or the same route as a GPX file to open in OsmAnd or any other app that reads GPX. You still navigate in your own map app.

GlideNav is not a safety product. It aims to reduce driving stress and friction — fewer difficult turns and complex intersections — and we make no claim that it makes your driving safer. Route scoring is an estimate built from imperfect third-party data and it can be wrong.

You are responsible for your own driving. Always obey traffic laws and road signs, and use your own judgement about what is safe. Do not interact with GlideNav while driving. Road conditions, closures and signage take precedence over anything GlideNav suggests.

By agreeing to these terms you specifically acknowledge and agree that:

• GlideNav LLC does not provide a safety app or a safety service, and makes no claim that GlideNav makes your driving safer;
• route scores are estimates drawn from imperfect third-party data and can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date;
• you remain fully responsible for your own driving at all times — for obeying traffic laws and road signs, for judging what is safe, and for every decision you make behind the wheel;
• road conditions, closures, signage and your own judgement always take precedence over anything GlideNav suggests;
• you will not rely on GlideNav as a safety measure, and using it does not transfer any part of the responsibility for your driving to us; and
• to the fullest extent the law allows, GlideNav LLC accepts no responsibility and no liability of any kind for any accident, collision, injury, death, property damage, loss, delay, fine or other incident arising out of or connected with your driving, your use of any route GlideNav suggested, or your reliance on anything GlideNav showed you.

If you do not accept these acknowledgements, do not use GlideNav.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure, and for everything done through your GlideNav account. Accounts are for one person — please do not share them. You must be at least 13 years old to use GlideNav, and old enough to hold a valid driver's licence in your jurisdiction to drive any route it gives you.

Subscriptions, trials and billing

• Free trial. New subscribers get a 14-day free trial. A payment method is required up front, but you are not charged until the trial ends. The trial is available once per person, ever — it is not offered again on a later subscription.
• When you are charged. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial and renews each period until cancelled.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your Account page. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not cut off access immediately. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Changing plans. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time. Stripe will calculate any difference owed for the current period.
• Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, access is suspended until the payment succeeds. You can update your card from your Account page.
• Refunds. All sales are final. Once a subscription is activated we do not give refunds — not for partial periods, unused time, or a subscription you meant to cancel and did not. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access for the rest of the period you have already paid for. The 14-day free trial is there so you can decide before you are charged: please use it, read the product details and feature descriptions, and email support@glidenav.com with any questions before you subscribe — we would much rather answer them first.
• Price changes. If we change prices we will tell you in advance, and the change applies from your next renewal. If you are already subscribed when a price changes, you stay on the price you signed up at until you change plan or resubscribe, unless we tell you otherwise.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly and are never stored by us — see the Privacy Policy.

Your use of the service

Your access is personal to you. The right to use GlideNav is given to you alone. It is not transferable to any other person or company, and you may use GlideNav only for lawful purposes.

Give it accurate information. GlideNav is only as good as what you put into it. Enter true, accurate and current origins and destinations — an approximate or mistyped address produces an approximate or mistaken result.

Access may be interrupted. Your use of GlideNav may be interrupted from time to time for any of several reasons, including equipment failures, updates, maintenance or repairs, an outage at a provider we depend on, or other steps we decide to take.

Beta and trial features. We may offer beta or trial features. They are provided as-is, may contain errors or inaccuracies, and you use them at your own risk.

Please do not: use GlideNav for anything unlawful; scrape, bulk-extract or resell its output; access it by automated means; try to break, overload or circumvent the service or its access controls; give anyone else access to your account; or use GlideNav in any way that breaches the terms of the underlying map providers.

Third-party services

GlideNav depends on Google Maps Platform for route data, and on Google, Supabase, Stripe and our hosting provider to run. Your use of Google Maps, Apple Maps, OsmAnd and any other navigation app you open a GlideNav route in is governed by that app's own terms, and your use of GlideNav must not breach them. We are not responsible for those services, and if one of them changes or becomes unavailable, parts of GlideNav may stop working. How your data reaches these providers is described in our Privacy Policy, which also covers how it is protected.

Availability

GlideNav is offered as-is and we do not promise any particular uptime. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid service you are currently paying for, we will tell you, stop billing you, and leave your access in place until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, GlideNav is provided without warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. Route scoring depends on third-party data we do not control and do not warrant.

Ownership and your licence to use GlideNav

GlideNav, its software, scoring methods, and branding belong to us or our licensors. While your subscription is active we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use GlideNav for your own driving. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from it, except where the law expressly permits.

Map data, route data and imagery displayed or linked by GlideNav belong to their respective providers, including Google and the OpenStreetMap contributors, and are subject to those providers' own licences.

Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions or ideas, we may use them in any way — to improve GlideNav, in other products or services we build, and in marketing materials — without owing you payment or attribution. You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, transferable, sub-licensable, irrevocable, fully paid-up, royalty-free licence to do so. You keep the right to use your own ideas yourself; you are simply not charging us for them.

We will not publish or share your feedback in a way that could identify you without your explicit permission. Please do not send us anything confidential.

Electronic communications

By using GlideNav you agree that we may communicate with you electronically — by email or through the app — and that these communications satisfy any legal requirement that a notice be in writing. Notices to us should go to support@glidenav.com.

Events outside our control

We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by something beyond our reasonable control, including outages at any of our third parties or hosting provider.

The rest of the agreement

• Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
• No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
• Assignment. We may transfer these terms if the business is sold or reorganised, and we will tell you if that happens.
• Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy & Security Policy, are the whole agreement between us about GlideNav, and replace anything said beforehand.
• Nothing here removes rights you have by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights apply regardless of what these terms say.

Ending your access

You can stop using GlideNav at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@glidenav.com. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.

Using GlideNav and updates to these terms

Using GlideNav means you accept and comply with these terms and conditions. We may update these terms periodically. The last revised date is shown at the top of this page, and continuing to use GlideNav after a change means you accept the updated terms.
